yes I can take it but again ignorant guy what do a caster need to take to have this defensiv and offensive capabilities? class choice @lvl 1 nothing else.

most melees will have 55 AB but with buffs which are gone by a dispel that means more like 50 and again your 4th, 5th, 6th attack which have lower ab will miss most of the time. to reach 54 AB unbuffed you need 1 lvl of bard for inspire courage +1, 26 bab, 46 strength score, a +4 weapon, epic prowess and epic weapon focus feat chain (3 feats). now I have a chance to hit with my first 3 attacks which will miss sometimes duo to concealment -.- again even if I hit, my target will be probably immune to crits, kd and having DR 30 due to premonition. with all that + 2handed weapon my base dmg will be 32 + weapon dmg = about 38 on average (depending on weapon). wow even if I hit only only deal what? 8 DMG!!!1111 wow the epic dragon slaying 2handed swinging melee guy did EIGHT damage to you. sounds wrong. now you cast a spell with epic saves of 40 lol which because you dispelled me before I will only save on a 20 (maybe 16-18 if i have epic save feats but with all those feats/stuff I already need there is not much left I can take) that means I am owned anyway even with improved power attack to increase my dmg to do more than crappy 8 average.

again having high hitpoints means nothing wenn u die to a save or die spell or cant move/do something or be kitet while enemy is hasted having severel dots on you. and btw for a caster the spells/spellslots are the hp, if you are unable to press button for a dispel and a save or die spell to cast it on a sword swinging guy that do maybe 10 dmg per hit to you, u deserve to die.

U have some adamantine weapons on dex u know... And tanks can use scrolls if have enuf UMD so u can breach caster's buffs and then attack.. Melee chars are not so weak, and if u think they r then y u making one?

So what scenario will be good for ya? Everyone with 40ish saving throws killing mages with 1 crit hit?

Game is a bit more complicated then click and kill for melee if u wanna beat caster, most likely u will need scrolls, pots and rebuff during fight.

Only druids are KD immune and stormlords, but they are not immune to imp.KD... Which is a must for melee anyways. Besides frenzy gives u deatless that is undispelable now so no insta death spells will kill ya, u can get mind spell immunity quite easy as well... So maybe u should play a bit more b4 whining how weak melee chars are..

You know that improved knockdown is a normal knockdown attempt with a +4 to knockdown check? they are immune because they have spells that make them immune to it, and if it works like you say then crapsidian made another bug cause it isnt supposed to work like that but thats another story Smile

lol rebuff during fight? when should I rebuff? between quicken spell breaches, dispels, crowd control spells and other nasty stuff? And also to note I have UMD (and also spot for those lame HIPS mages, hell I even have spellcraft for better saving throws against spells and tumble for more AC and still my saving throws are too low against some well maxxed chars)

and yes I know that there are adamantite weapons and as I started the game I took weapon focus for a different weapon = it will lower my hit chance again using another weapon thus I can use improved power attack with my +4 weapon of choice too but maybe there will be a adamantite drop or other ways to get the one I want.

yes the game mechanic is complicated and I dont whine, its just you that need to l2math, 2read and 2discuss stuff and learn 2 dont call others whiner. U dont even understand the basic game mechanics (like 1 round = 6 seconds, and you can only cast once per round without quicken spell and that spell dcs scale much faster with lvls than saving throws) lol rebuffing during a fight, good joke, buffing up for what? buffing up 4 scrolls in 24 seconds for the caster dispelling/breaching all again at once and throwing annyoing stuff at me between dispels and you maybe know, there are much more spells than mind effecting, death and such. there are spells that stun, daze, slow and knockdown too.

what would be a fair scenario? atleast have about 50% chance to save against a spell because I also have a 50% chance to hit due to concealment.

and why do I play a melee character? cause I enjoy smash people in their faces, sometimes while they are lying in front of me and kissing my feet Wink and again I dont whine, I only show you how much imbalance is between casters and melees with easy math. I dont even say to change anything, did you saw a thread made by me in suggestions or flame forum with the topic "OMGZOR BOOST SAVING THROWS!"? no? well thats why you are the ignorant guy that call other people whiner and me is the dead end called meele guy that dont cares about it aslong he can smash faces Smile
