How are invisibility and darkness supposed to work on the server? I know greater invis has it's duration changed from 1 round/lvl to 1 min/lvl, but what about see invis? It's supposed to negate concealment but it doesn't seem to I have the same problem with blindsight spell and darkness, opponents still have a miss chance. Also, the miss chance for darkness is only 20%, the description says it should treat those in it as if they were invis and all opponents are invis, so why a different miss chance? What changes are made to invis and darkness on DEX, and how are they supposed to work in NWN2?

thanks,

Im pretty sure it's all standard.. nothing has been changed.
Try play the campaign, and you will find it all the same.
Greater invis will work 1 min / level and see invis won't do any other thing than letting you spot the invisible people.

Every detail of each spell fix or change should be listed in this thread:
http://www.dungeoneternal.com/phpBB2/ftopic4978.php

Though noted not everything is completely up to date (for example, the extended duration of greater invis), in which cases, we should probably post directly within that thread as Seed addresses them and will then update the top post whenever such omissions are pointed out within that thread.

Quote:
Greater Invisibility: Concealment effect doesn't get canceled after attack, Invisiblity returns after combat ends

The DEX custom part of the spell is that the invisibility affect returning after combat ends (with default greater invis, the invisibility effect is lost with a hostil action until you recast some form of invis).

This is what I know about invis prior to latest updates (meaning I haven't yet verified which of these still holds true):

Invis only works against NPCs (other players will still be able to see you regardless of whether they have see invis or not), and some NPCs have see invis or even TS

although, casters can not target invisible opponents with spells
(except manually via area of effect spells)

even if a caster had TTS (heard rumor that this one was fixed though)

Can anyone verify whether these things still hold true or not?

If this were NWN1, I could explain, but I have no idea what their intention is for NWN2.
Can say that in previous versions of NWN2, darkness was completely broken other than the visual affect, so at least they are making some code fixes.
