Error: "Player Name Refused By Server"

That's the error message I get when I try to login.. any thoughts?

"Player name refused by server"

Maybe you used an inappropriate word in your character name? NWN2 uses some kind of filter to deter perverse or vulgar names.

Found this in wordfilter.2da, but I think there is at least one other source for filtered words:

I changed nothing.. I went to relog, then when I tried to log back in I got that message.

I don't think my login was Hitler's Anal Love

.. lemme check though...

Hmm.. nope.. not anymore. People thought that the word "love" was too inappropriate.

On a side note, that response really made me laugh. I don't think it's normal to regard the phrase "hitler's anal love

" as comic genius..

I'm stil laughing as I write this right now.

I get that message when I use direct connect shortcut
and change account in there but it logs on when I try again.

yeah i used to have that happen to me too. first try always gets blocked.

think there is a refusal of any name more than 42characters long

More than 40 chars long gets refused.

Yeah.. basically the problem is the same as Pokes and Tard had/have.. except it would block all login attempts until I try to login with my normal login, once that's blocked I just type some random letters as player name and can log in.
