progressively worse bugs

Since reinstalling nwn, i've noticed i've had a lot of bugs that i didn't have before when i played. First time i installed, certain areas were completely black spaces when i entered them, such as all of the crypts and mythara. Only the floors and walls were blacked out, chests bindstones and doors were still visible. I reinstalled the game and in addition to those problems my quickslots and the icons for my buffs were now just white spaces and i couldnt see what they were. In addition i now crashed when i tried to enter loft graveyard and myth, so that whenever i tried to enter one of these areas my game crashed halfway through the loading bar and that char was stuck like that until a reset.

On my last uninstall/reinstall messages from the game itself were whited out, like the yes/no box when you want to exit nwn. I have tried the critical rebuild, animation fix and disabling all the video options and nothing worked. Any ideas?

Graphics card problem?

Graphics card drivers to be a bit more specific. What is your specs Kal?

I have an NVIDIA Geforce FX 5200 and 128 mb of memory. I'm not really a computer expert, but i would just hesistate to say this is the problem since i only stopped playing for about 6-8 months and these problems only came when i reinstalled and upgraded to 1.69

Try upgrading drivers.

It made no difference

Try alternative drivers. Like Omega. Worked well for me.

Sometime I get the black space thing too, but the reason is usually lag.
Crappy New Zealand interwebs.

I get the black space from lag too, but that eventuallly goes away. This black space is constant and only in certain areas

I installed the new drivers and now about 30 seconds after i get past my login screen my computer freezes
