NWN2 :: Retrieving the DEX2 PWC via World Gate

No Dex 1 has no needed downloads. This is a both a feature and an issue with NWN2 in that downloads are required where in NWN1 they were optional.

It basically makes it so the PW sets up everything like a commercial game, which really adds a lot to the game, but downloading and installing those files has to happen before you can log in. So if you are playing NWN1 don't worry about it.

Ok it won't let me install worldgate because my .NET frame is smlaller then 2.0 or somthing.. an d durin installation it said x64 operating systems don't support that =[ SO I can't play DeX2?

Maybe just try to install .net framework 2.0? U need it to play nwn2.

It says "This product is not supported by 64-bit operating systems. Setup will now Exit." wtf...

Im guessing vista or xp x64 bit wich the game does not support, or atlest didnt at release. I do belive people are using it to play however, most likely something you can do about it. (i just don't know what, but someone else might)

Have you installed the game yet?

That might be the issue. I think Tani uses the same libraries the game does. But i don't have a 64bit system on the pc so im not sure. I'll try to post some questions to her, perhaps get her to come here and answer you herself (she got us all started). But can i get the rundown on your OS, version, etc and if you have the game installed yet. I'd like to have the answers to the questions i know she is going to ask.

After i get things up on 1.13 and stable with kaedrins content, i am going to start posting the files on the vault as an alternative for some players who have issues. Your downloads will be bigger, and i'll have to ask that you download them when i tell you which can be often. ( failure to have up to date files makes the game get crappy for everyone )

Tried using worldgate and I get this error message 100% of the time:

error: Ticks must be between DateTime.MinValues and DateTime.MaxValues.Ticks. Parameter name: ticks

From there, my only option is to click ok and no download ensues.

This makes it hard to play on DeX2.

Get worldgate 1.7b, it works fine with all older versions, and it fixes a lot of bugs.

I had to update it to handle everything.
