CoT wrath duration poll

i voted for the char+cot lvls but i think that char+cot lvls/2 would be better, divine wrath isnt something that you really want lasting too long.

More than how long it last I would modify the DR associated to the wrath, to give some goals to people going for 30 CoT lvl. A DR of 20/ 6 with 25 lvl and 25/ 7 with 30 will make the class interesting.

This is an interesting poll. I like high lvl cot builds for dueling. During wrath he's about the strongest thing on the planet. The fact that he only gets 1 per day and it only lasts maybe 10 rounds makes it unattractive for much pvp though. I dont know which way to vote but im thinking duration = 3 * cha mod or 2 times per day at 2 * cha mod. That might inspire me to make one asap.

it is already at 3 times per day but if you crunch the numbers that's still only about 3 turns max of wrath which isnt enough for a war (this assumes a 10 cha mod wich most builds wont get.....)

I kinda like cha mod CoT lvl/2 but i didnt think of that option when putting up the poll (i need to learn to think more)

Interesting. That's a dex modification. It's not the default behavior. at 3x per day I would only say only make duration 2 * cha mod and I'll definitely be making one. Smile

The only problem with CoT is that their AB caps around 70-73 absolute max, which can be achieved by himself. I do not agree with the DR buff because they get saves as a bonus. Any CoT as well is going to have divine shield.

By the way, has the duration of divine shield been increased on DEX?
And is it now a free action on dex, or does it sitll require a round to activate it?

I don't think CoT needs any other buffs other than the duration of Wraith increased and you will start seeing more of them. Thier saves are outstanding, and with wraith increased in duration i think they become a valid Class to build around.

Dont make CoT a pure class, pure builds will be the bane of dex ^

Start with a duration boost and revisit cot much later on after some good player testing. At 3x / day, a duration of 2rounds * cha mod is plenty. People asking for cha mod + cot lvls basically want perma wrath on high lvl cot and i have a hard time with that. 3x / day at 2rounds * cha mod is more than enough for wrath.
