Will be interesting to see if ms release a new os when 64 bit proccessing becomes a standard after all the shenanegins and nonsense that vista 64 has created....and ms are now acctually embroiled with another lawsuit...this time over the vista ready sticker....that only meens that the component can run vista basic:P
I find it annoying that you can get vista 32bit and it runs everything you want ....but has a memory cap that is not condusive to large graphics cards and flash memory....or 64bit and a large limitation on games you can play.....or the hassle of various patches to make anything work....
Vista is a great os.....i could never see me going back to xp.....but like most things that are to good to be true.....vista is in its own way pants:P |

Ja, software support for x64 processors is still dumpy atm, but since SP1 was released you're going to start seeing OS rollovers in more companies creating better support for Vista and x64 chips. Goodbye, XP, it was a great run! |

lol so u actually paid from m$ stuff....who does that. |
hehe I got it from some people who were shall I say desperate for money.
I paid about 1/3 what it cost new 1 year ago.
It's a dual core with 1 gig ram it should do fine.
I am going to check a few things. |
I will try to send you some steps to improve performance on Vista, but 1G is not enough to run things fast (even 2G).
As the warranty, you can always make the factory set of recovery disks (it should take 2 DVD's) and reeintall if needed. Then you can install XP, until you can afford more RAM. |

A dog is truly a man's best friend.
If you don't believe it, just try this experiment.
Put your dog and your spouse in the trunk of the car for an hour.
When you open the trunk, who is really happy to see you!? |

Vista works fine for most games, some require simple workarounds.
Edit: forgot to type something |

Vista with sp1 work very nice. But you require alot of memory, get 4gig of ram and it work very nice. |
Anything with 4gb ram will work fine, still doesn't change the fact it uses up an obscene amount of ram to run smoothly. |

There is a hack that will cut vista's memory footprint down to nearly the size of xp's. linux is a great option if you just want to run nwn1 and the computer has an nvidia gpu. I don't know of a DM client for linux, but then again I've never looked for one. |

I think I read about it on /. but I can't say for sure. IIRC it's an application that you can download off the internet. I rarely use windows, much less vista, so it was of no interest to me, but perhaps someone else here knows about it. If not, I'll ask one of my buddies later on. |
