Swearing on shout

would dexxers prefer to see swearing on shout be immediate 24 hr ban, or loss of levels?

I agree with previous topics about the DMs letting people off far to easy for abusing others using shout channel.

This should suffice as a warning enough, swear at your own risk.

What about female players(or pretending to be female) in DEX who abuse too much and go way off the line just because they think they're women and can say anything to any male players?

i agree it should be punishble rather its ban or delvl its little bit much here lately but im going to punish just ive told

i warn once then im going to jail second time and if that doesnt work im delvl third chance its going to be

delvl and strip items

it wont change a d-a-m-n thing , there always will be some cuss , some flames , some bad words , its part of real life , and it happens in all games as well. Banning will result players leaving for speaking out their minds , de lvl will encourage players go elsewhere , imo if u aint happy with what you hear on shout , there is an option called Turn Off , wich I use alot when its starts to be too much.

Swearing is normal anywhere you go, I don't know in the middle east where I heard they cut your heads(up and down? Surprised

) off if you swear lol.

Flaming is a part of any game. It has been there, it is there and it will always be there. As long as there is no discrimination or degrading comments going on, that's all good in my opinion. It's a game, many kids and immature people(like me! young at heart ..|..

..|.. ) play this game, so obviously a lot of players will get to that point where they will start cussin blah blah blah.

With 50% banking XP penalty and de-level punishment , pew pew!! ---> a leaving player and off to another server(wow DMs here are this and that etc etc! I'm out!). Especially right now that the competition against other servers is strong. Many servers still have high player base, even higher player base compare to DEX.

Banned for 24 hours ----> Oh I'm so bored let me try this server out. (After playing for several hours)Oh wow I didn't know this server is cooler than DEX, maybe I'll just stay here.

Everything is a risk, especially at our current situation. Keep it low and watch other things such as exploiting and CHEATING THAT LEGION HAS BEEN DOING ON RAIDS.

Seraphim by the way please fix that re-logging thing.

Major Tip If you don't like what's on shout.. do what I do everytime I see eliar's account name log in Wink

kuja you claim that legion cheats on raids, how many times have we walked in and wtfpwned your ass and stole your arti? You act like the fact that dirk dm killed rough when he went afk in loft for a real life emergency and just let Mike20 take the arti to your altar is legit. Especially after we defended. How is that not exploiting?

, no where in the rules does it say that you cant go afk cause of real life issues with the arti in loft and come back 5-10 mins later.

Back on topic, i dont care about swearing on shout as long as it isnt racial or derogatory. I understand the occasional

slips out but i would just say limit that.

Yes I do know exploits/bugs/in-game hacks.

Well guess what? I'm the reason why DEX has an anti-hack tester right now, so stfu please

Talk when you can contribute something positive to the server, not just flooding flames in-forums and in-game.

Plus, getting arti and going AFK in loft keeps the arti totally untouchable, what's another way to get it?

I can easily say "OH NOES I ACCIDENTALLY POOPED IN MY PANTS I HAD TO GO AFK IN LOFT WITH THE ARTI"

psshhh!! then why did he pick up the arti in the first place if he knew he was going afk in a non pvp area? exactly! ..|..

We can't afford to lose players at DEX's current situation.

Less # on gamespy server display , players will just say "hmm..not much people..i'll check out this server with more players"

We only reach a peak of low 30s during weekends... we have 15 to mid 20s in weekdays and mid 20s doesn't last long...

90% of dex players swear and more than half flames on shout.

I will send seraphim my script on my old mod which allows a DM to mute someone on shout.

He can also ask milliorn or scarface for the code since both their servers have that feature.

That's what DEX needs.

There's always the implementation of any shout including location like in DEX2. It can serve to deter some shouting if your location is given when you're yelling. Kind of like an invitation for pk.
