DEVS HELP ME!!! >.< I can't logg in anymore

I had a great time playing with my first char, "Titan" on this great server yesterday, and everything was fine then.
Anyway, the second day I wanted to play I tried to logg on and got this error ""Invalid character - player login refused. illegal removed spells." And I haven't done anything like that! what the hell?!!!! FRUSTRATED!!!! ARGH!!!!
This happened after I got my 9th level in favored soul. I hope you can help me fix this, even if I have to go down a level Sad

Did you change any spells?

No, I didn't. that's the annoying part... I didn't even get any spells at my 9th favored soul level. can't remember if I'm supposed too get spells at that level either. To think of it, this might be the reason, but then again, I might be wrong also.

describe exactly what you did while lvling him up and send it to a DM.

Be specific, the game has alot of these bugs and we need to have them fixed, as for your char its fubar so just make another one.

are you serious? The only thing I did when leveling was choosing skills and pressing next, I didn't have any other options...

OK I found out how to delete. anyway, I leveled from 1 to 8 favored soul, everything is fine, then I took 2 levels in blackguard. everything is still fine, then at level 11, I took lvl 9 in favored soul, my only option on that level was to choose skills. So I took my points in concentration and spellcraft.
I didn't get any feats, and I didn't get any new spells. I didn't get to change spells or nothing, the spell book window never opened.
Do you really need to know what spells I took from level 1 to 8? as those levels was not bugged...
Now I'm going to start over, wish me luck :p

It would help if you could list exactly what you did, which spells you took, in as much detail as possible. With details the actual cause, which is usually a single thing can be determined.

I would guess its the combo that is making your build invalid, and this is the info we were looking for.

If someone is not able to reproduce the bug then spells/feats are required aswell, understandable if you cant remember.

The spells always seem to be a part of it, mainly truestrike so far, but knowing which spells would help.

As well as items that raise your effective spell level higher than it should be. ( Charisma i think ) which are later removed or not effective on level up.

Is your charisma lower than your max spell level?

my charisma was 18, so no.
I was buffed with a eagle splendor when I leveled. could that have triggered the error?
I'll add what spells/feats I had later, if required.

Its very possible, always rest before leveling.

I had exactly the same problem. My character was bard 8 / red dragon disciple 8 / 3 blackguard. When i got my 9 level of bard after i put my skills i did not get to chose spells. The game just gave me the option to put in some skills and that's it. Bards get spells every level and that screen did not show up. My mistake perhaps was to press next after i did not get to pick spells. And maybe thats why game had thought i removed spells illegally. Who wants a bard without any spells? No one. I would like to get my character back cause he was a really strong build or at least a new one at same level. my skills were perform , 20 tumble ,19 use magic d ,22-23 spell craft , spot , 8 lore. Feats were: toughness, tower shield , still spell , divine power , improved critical rapier , power attack , cleave. I also remember my spell list. Please i do not want to lose all that i had earned with this character. My account name is CoRteZ69 and player name is CoRteZ .

We are trying to collect sort all INVALID CHARACTER information there; If you're specific issue isn't listed in the links, you can post within that main thread and I'll get around to sorting it eventually. Most of the information (maybe all) within that thread and linked threads has been summarized and reported in detail to OEI, and they've responded that those issues may all be addressed in this coming patch, 1.12 which is on the horizon.

My apologies for the inconvenience. NWN2 Server Monitor Console is also broken, so we don't have a very efficient way to fix these builds. You could wait until patch 1.12 (in the meantime level up something else) and most of these invalid builds should be playable again.
