Alright. This is what im working on currently.
-Fixing drop system
What this entails is a removal of useless garbage drops. The only thing that will drop after this fix is dmg stones of all sorts and On Hits. On hits are still subject to change. i will be slightly increase drop chance of these items because nothing else will be dropping.
-Trying to figure out why mord scrolls wont work (script wise they should be fine)
-Reopening bank after drop system is functional
The bank was closed in an attempt to see if having the number of DB and script calls lower if the lag would lessen. It did. So the drop system was the first step. It is going from 4 scripts being called to 1. and That 1 script is approximately 1/3 the size it used to be.
-Locking off lord shadow for the moment. His drop by looks of code are disabled but just in case i am locking him off.
-Fixing a transition that was fixed before but somehow broke.
This is what needs to be talked about.
PFs have been voted to be removed and replaced with other classes getting bonuses that will bring more variety into the builds on dex. There is a class token that Arres has looked at. This is one way to do it and can probly be modded to have all the changes for classes in it that we want, but we can also just have the stuff go in automatically. I personally believe using a modified class token would be the easier idea. We need to know what classes you would like to see improvements on or what some good enhancements would be for the hardly used classes. Also maybe we should consider some nerfs to some of the higher classes just to bring them all kinda to the same level. Please let me know in this thread any thoughts on enhancements and nerfs.
I need a map of DeX. I can make one, but it will take away my time for working on the server. I would love it if someone in this lovely community would step forward and make a pdf of the current map system for DeX. Please let me know if you would be interested. Thanks a Ton guys.

You should leave in the saves goblets and skulls. They're kinda nice since you can add an extra save to a ring without any possible negatives. I'd just take out the skill point things and fear save skulls, lol  |

fix the drider entrance waypoint
it is pointed to the right when you enter causing a player to go back to transition if u use
keyboard to walk
Also, I have a copy of 2 versions of dex mod. Whatever area you need re-done or if you want me to help on making areas. Give me a few weeks until I finish this semester and I will help you guys out. |

This is what I need. I need all the changes you want done and up 2-3dayto look at them BEFORE THEY ARE DONE. It's my server to oversee and for the most part it, I like it AS IS as do many others. In otherwords, I'm not hunting down stuff in forums, you must email mail me the proposals before a line of code is done.
In short, consideration is due. Please dont code a stick or ban a player without shillow and I looking at it first. Unless its a big time spammer, you ban, you lose your job. You code, and stick it in, without approval, your done. |

I think technically mords scrolls might 'work', it's just that they work so badly that unless you're using them on a pure mage they can't dispell anything at all. |

Looking good Seraph, most useful update, more useful than about the last 7 or arres'
Now, one big issue which i think is bothering the pvpers of this server...... Money.
I now have 9 lvl 40's and a lvl 34 and I don't even have enough money to do gear for the last 3......
Minos used to give about 5-7000 GP per kill up higher lvls, now they drop less than 2k per kill, how exactly does that fit in with arres' halved system? Cos my maths tell me it's alot less than half.
Basically, I have characters I can't pvp/raid/war with because I don't have the gold.
And I hope noone says go loot, looting isn't compulsory to play, so it shouldn't be the ONLY way to get enough money.
At the same time arres halved (quartered) the money, XP per kill was raised, so that means less kills to get to 40, = less money, and less money per kill = even less less money.
I want to see it made so lvling a 40 wwill bring in about 5-8million. done, no argument, its a PVP server, a strong one, lets not lose focus with trivial poop like gold |

I already scripted the Class Token which correctly adds up all bonuses from multiple classes. Adding feats can be achieved via Leto or via item. For the sake of simplicity I done it via item for now (Leto might bug characters if I mess up). It doesn't matter if we don't get the bonuses on the first try since they can be easily changed (might mess up a few builds tho).
And we need a map of *current* DeX unless someone just happen to have the ones from Seed's mod. |

the one from seeds mod is no more. All backups are gone. Ive checked thats why i need someone to make one for us while we work.

take out the class system if u can auto imply them. Yes we already know dex has cheaters. last thing we need is someone running around stacking buffs that arent supposed to be |

regarding the gold and gems, tbh, i think it's fine, make people work for their money!!
it's not normal people would have 10 lvl 40 chars and not have gold to equip them, i think it should stay as is and if people farmed gold and took the time, they if others want gold, they can sell off good items for it
it was too easy in past to get gold and it's taken for granted |
