test server

the test server is messed up...

I've been meaning to post on this. It has been since last night at least. Some problems include NWN2 crashing when you log on to the server (before character select screen) repeatedly. The temporary solution I used was logging on to Dex2, exiting without selecting a character, and then going to test.

Also, there is a character names Uzziel in town, and for some reason I always seem to possess him for a moment. Which interrupts my leveling, messes up my camera angles, and prevents me from moving or casting, to test my character.

I had the same problem with this uzziel. I logged into the test server and i used an emote and it would say it twice with uzziel characters name in brackets beside mine. Kinda scary!!

Having troubles logging into text server myself...

While we're on the topic, is there any way we can change the server up to make it more 'test friendly'? I mean, being able to test damage and ab without having to enter other maps, and make a char re-leveler so you can go back to first lvl and start over.

So add some attack dummies and an npc that deals with xp

The releveler exists. Use the mug in your inventory, set whatever you level you want to be (1-1000000000000000000000000000, although at some point it will bug and your charcater will never be able to log in again) so you don't have to go all the way back to 1.

Some of that was happening to me in the test server earlier, the crashing-on-login part, but when I was able to log in before that, I didn't have any problems with possessing Uzziel.
On a semi-related note, a week or so back I had a similar problem on the regular Dex2 server, every few seconds I would possess the person Katie Atkins, who was logged in at the time. It was weird, and messed up my selling items several times, but it stopped when I area-transitioned away and came back.

Ok, logging into dex2 char screen and then going back to test server works most of the time. The other day I was able to do this and lvl up fine. Today I log in and possession bug crashes me...after a successful login crash after hitting the level up button on char sheet. I tried a few more times and still crashed from hitting the button.

Needs fixed.

lol atleast you get into the server, i crash just when it says "connected to server"

I did some testing about the level up button crashing me...appearantly my chars became bugged after repeatedly releveling. Something might be wrong with the relevel item/system.

i had removed the test server 3 hour reboot script so the server had been up for over a week. I figured it would crash more often and not need rebooting... who knew?

I rebooted the PC. Let me know if it is behaving correctly now.

yeah...uzziel is my fault....
i was testing him, and i hit track for some reason whilst leveling and it created the double of me. i started experiencing all the goofy symptoms that have been mentioned
glad to see it got taken care of
