ek unlock working?

Say just out of curiosity, I notice that you guys unlocked the EK class to up to lvl 20. Has this been thoroughly tested to make sure it is working? I seem to remember someone posting that it wasn't working properly....

Also, how does the spell progression work? Like say, does a lvl 20 ek have 19 caster lvls? Or does it go 9/10 then 9/10 again? Can you continue to learn new spells known and new spells per day with ek lvls 11+, or is it just like a super powered practiced spellcaster from ek lvl 11+?

It was working when it was implemented, some players hadn't updated their WG.

18 caster level from 20 levels of EK, as Caster level gain repeats, 0,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,0,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1

Last question, I can not recall the answer to. I'd offer to go in and level one up to test it again, or would give you the xp to level it up and test it out (provided it has some test label or something to that effect) as your feedback would be detailed and helpful I am sure. Unfortunately, I don't have access at this moment.

I am in process of re-setting up NWN2/MotB, should be back on-line within a week.

I made it 19/20 levels, per the pnp rules. It was at 18/20 to repeat the progression.

Yes it does work, when it first was in i think there was an issue, but i tested it and yet to see a problem. There is nothing guaranteed of course, but you should get offered spells at each level after the first, if not you should wait to take the level. The actual caster level is not done by OEI, i've taken over that and it i know is working.

It's not really. Now i know it is powerful, but it's exactly what would have happened if PRC's were allowed to progress past level 10 like they should have to begin with, and that is very likely in the next expansion. And i have not really seen wizards doing much more beyond dispelling folks so a melee can take them out back when we had more pvp.

If you take 20 EK, and 5 Sorceror or wizard, your ab will be pretty good, but you are a caster who can melee/ranged touch attack and basically always hit without that good base attack. Also having to take 5 wiz/sorc levels is going to make sure you can't get max ab. Your Hps are still low and you lose some feats. Having 19 levels per PNP or 18 levels does not make a difference either way. You also don't have as many feats to choose from, which are more important for casters especially epic.

I never finished my caster hybrid but yes i belive it works as it should, problem before was that it did not work in the test server and that made people (myself included) a bit worried that we would waste time and xp in the live server.

as for a good build youre smart enough to figure out a good combo yourself Wink

I must have managed to start mine b4 the fix went it - but my second version of the same build seems to have worked thus far.
