Character Vanished - HELP

Stranger Gender: Age: 31 Joined: 27 Sep 2008

So I read the sign in the Bank. Made my Character first. Put the Eq I wanted to keep in the chest. Banked the XP from a level 33 char. Logged in with my new Char and withdrew the XP. Leveled up my character to 15. Decided to rest to save the character. Logged out to log in another character to banks it's XP as well. When I got to the Character screen my new Char was not there. All my EQ (not much) and all my XP (VERY annoying) gone not to mention the time it took to create Char. Please let me know what you can do and what I can do to make sure this does not happen again. I thought I did it all correctly. Thanks for your time and help.

did you use the same name as the one you banked

Well ya I did. So that was my problem then. Actually I did it two times because the first character I rolled I gave the wrong stats to. So then I deleted him and made a new one of him (lost half my xp in this brilliant manouver) and started over. So can I get my XP back for being a NOOB maybe?
