Considering pali now has divine dmg on holy sword, they're still very viable as pkers and do massive damage. |

general question about the DEX custom class bonuses
Does the AB count toward the +20 cap? Or is it considered BAB? Or is it within some other catergory (such as heroism)?
Same for the AC bonuses, are those dodge AC or some other innate form that doesn't count against any cap.
Same for saves, do they count against the 20 cap?
I'll integrate the answers into the DEX Specific Changes thread. Thanks |

AB counts towards +20 cap (from experience).
Saves count towards +20 cap.
I think the AC bonuses are dodge, and they cap at +20, as usual. |

Hi NessTea,
"part" meaning what exactly - can you please explain it quantitatively?
If we look at BlackGuard, for example:
10: +1 AB
15: +1 AB / +1 AC
20: +1 AB / +1 AC
25: +1 AB / +1 AC
30: +4 AB / +5 AC / Crippling Strike
Are the bonuses at levels 15, 20, and 25 all non-dodge AC, and the bonus at 30 = dodge AC?
Does it vary on a class by class basis, or is there some common rule that applies? Is it half the total amount is dodge and the other half not dodge? etc |

Imho the problem is that Pala advantages (5 divine damages for few rounds and holy sword for few rounds) are less than a benefit when u read what a ranger get.
You know the nature of monks combat. Do you have the time to launch prayer, favour and holy sword before combat? No.
Ranger is a ready package with full bonus always on, need no pre combat casting. You see an opponent and you charge on sight.
Pala monk is much more weaker and players know it. |

Wrong. Paly has tons of other things that make them "on par" with a ranger. I'll just leave it at that. |

Pali Monks are still my preferred for damage..
Rangers have less rare dmg for when hitting mages and DR classes.
Pali has holy dispell, and onhit searing light when they get hit.
Only str monk I use is a pali, much better than ranger for that imo.
Pali + extend spell = enough time to kill a few people. |

Oh DeX is still using my version of Holy Sword (with the onhit: searing light and all) lol?
I even forgot the exact statistics now. Also does "Serra" appear every once in a while when you cast Holy Sword? |
