We should really stress lowbie pvp to be unattractive. It's also imbalanced and theres a huge difference between 30 and 40. The scale should move up exponentially (2,4,8,16) and not linear (1,2,3,4).

Also I think someone already said this but I think once you kill someone, your "value" should increase by say 10%. Same goes for once you die, your "value" should drop by 50%.

Example using two PC's, John and Jane:
John (value 10.0) kills Jane (value 10.0) rising in value by 10% (to 11.0) while Jane drops by 50% (to 5.0)
John (value 11.0) now kills Jane (value 5.0) again, rising in value once more (to 12.1) while Jane drops again (to 2.5)
Jane (value 2.5) finally kills John (value 12.1) resetting her own value (back to 10.0) while John drops by 50% (to 6.05)
At the end of the day, John has earned 15.0 points towards his honor score and Jane has earned 12.1 points.

This allows for a very "dynamic" system where griefing is discouraged and exploiting is made very difficult.


First we need to decide where to store these variables. We are probably going to have to create a new table in the db just for this new thing, which can keep track of kills, last killed and such, value, etc...

So far I got the system working based on level, but I need a final decision to develop it.

i think adding a point system or any kind of reward would take some of the fun out of pvp. who is going to want to play support builds that wont earn themselves any points? or hop out onto prairies when its 3 vs 1? i think it will only encourage more run/heal/A-like tactics which no one enjoys.

imo, the reward for pvp should be the fun from doing it without any stats or rewards involved.
