By the way..

shout ban feature is found in simtools scripts in vault

do you still need to punish people by delevelment or ban? Smile

there is a way to get things done, just dont use that shout ban on me

they also have the right to veiw shout to learn from asking questoins on builds areas etc so they shouldnt have to close there shout just cuase of some nasty talking pervs

that is not possible in nwn1. that is why SIMTOOLS exist to do the job right an suppress it at its source at will.

I dont rly understand what is so wrong with swearingon shout. ppl have learn to swear sometime! I think 11 is just fine for that Razz

Then you got the retards cursing and flaming on shout, and really discourage the players that should be there and not have to deal with it. I quit once because I was tired of Dirk's poop. He may be a dad, lawyer, old guy, etc.... BUT he acts worse that a 10 year old, and I can't mute him.

He's a hypocrite saying to keep dex alive and what not, then

out everyone. Just stupid logic to me. I would much rather enjoy a nice day of dex without someone saying f*ck or f*ggot with immunity.

Im all with TRY ME anytime on this one, cussing isnt supposed to be tolerated.
How about a warning for a first time offense and 24h ban after that?

Unfortunately only a fraction of all the cussing that is going on is penalized so i dont think a 24h ban is to harsh as it takes quite alot to get cought cussing twice, at least for decent people.

no im not for the ban thing im use the jail method and its not for all cuss words for that nasty stuff or phrases and ya know who you are if you think your grown up enough to say them your grown up enough to understand whats appropiate language shouldnt have to be told

Jail is perfectly fine.. because I've seen a server die due to banning and de-leveling people.. check out World of Iniquity server and it's 1/43 to 8/43 player base. It used to have a line up of 1000000/43 and now they all poofed. DMs went too aggressive de-leveling and banning people for every 3rd swear word seen on shout until everyone feared to accidentally swear on shout and end up with the same punishment so they just left and looked for another mod. C'mon.. DEX isn't a mormon server.

Don't get me wrong, I strongly agree with bmon. It's just this is not the right time to implement harsh punishments...

Who doesn't swear? I remember I started swearing at the age of 5 lol, and that word is p_ _ a , which isn't English but I know u all understand that. Just jail them and use the shout mute method, that should fix the problem.
