500 damage flame arrows?

Why in the hell hasn't nekro staff been nerfed yet?!? All these farmers must have gotten huge erections when they examined it, and were too fixated to push for a downgrade.

Why nerf it? Like morg said.. it doesn't add dmg, just changes it to a block dmg type with NEP, and sure, the extra skills are nice, but it's a boss weapon, you'd EXPECT it to be slightly better.

Not that hard to stop someone from countering you, but this topic is about flame arrow so...

Pure bonuses are designed to empower casters. Boss weps are designed to empower melees. Nekro staff is like a double empowerment to mages, or more specifically, mages that use flame arrow.

Pure bonuses weren't put in to empower casters, and boss weaps weren't designed to empower meleers.

Casters were plenty strong earlier. Pure bonuses were put in to increase variety among casters. And it worked. Pure mages and HP sorcs are still just as strong as each other. In many ways, pure casters are slightly less useful than hp sorcs.

Boss weaps were likewise implemented to increase variety, which it does.

Bottom line, Bhaal: You're wrong.. twice.

If you had to choose between an otto and a greatsword, wouldn't you choose otto? The wep seems fairly empowering to me. More ab = more floored opponents.

Pure mages and hp sorcs are good at different things..

Pure mages pack the damage and the disable.. non-pure mages are everything else.. a pure mage cant touch an hp sorc when it comes to dispelling and countering.

And otto vs. greatsword is a bad example.. scythe vs. otto is a much better example.

If I had a scythe with the same damages as an otto, I would use the scythe, no doubt about it.

Can we get back to the facts here? Necro staff doesn't increase damage people! It just changes the TYPE of damage!

No one is crying about the 45 pairs of Slaad gloves DV has (which btw all have the same stats) get over it yes <C> knows how to farm Nekrosis and you don't. This is a simple case of player hating. Please call out the WHAAAAMBULANCE and collect al the tears form this topic.

DV doesn't dupe. Not to mention slaad gloves aren't going to do 700 + damage in one round.

Second of all Nekro staff doesn't do 700 in one round.
Learn to read it just changes the damge type.
Third of all since when did you come back to DEX and play for DV?
