Invis purge is an aura, per the script and the SRD http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/invisibilityPurge.htm, and the in game documentation. The clue is the range is personal.
Only really astute players would realize this as to cast it on yourself you have to target the ground and there is no visual feedback - very confusing, in fact i only realized what it was doing after i read the script and did some testing to confirm.
Folks after this is fixed might think that there has been a change, but really it's worked the same way and just the targeting and feedback were screwed up. The fix is going to make it so you can just click on the spell and it will cast on the caster without needing to target the ground ( which makes the caster run to that spot and then cast it on himself )
This is a spell i've been giving some attention, not sure if it's in game, but after examining it - a spell in which within it's radius no power of invisibility can exist, just needs a little help to remove it's obvious bugs to make it work as advertised. Now that it's power is a bit more clear it seems like this spell is going to be a lot more popular but like anything a trade off.
Thanks for the pictures of the sef, that will help me figure out how to fix that issue as well. |
